Mr. Galway invites you to become a part of the award winning Spirit of Freedom! Click here for information about the 2013 season.

Tryouts sessions will be held on the following dates:

• Friday, May 10, 6:00 – 9:00 PM – A parent meeting will also be held at 6:00 PM in the FHS Auditorium during this tryout session.
• Saturday, May 11, 12:00 – 3:00 PM 
• Friday, May 17, 6:00 – 9:00 PM

PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES MUST ATTEND ALL THREE SESSIONS.  Contact Mr. Galway if you have any conflicts.

Students interested in dance and performance should consider trying out for the Color Guard, a section of the Marching Band that uses dance, movement, flags, and other props to add visual presence to the Marching Band. No experience necessary!

A firm commitment and initial deposit payment for the Spirit of Freedom Marching Band is due on May 17, the final day of tryouts.

Parents: We will need a few volunteers to help collect marching band fees and forms on May 17th, the last tryout session.  Contact Shannon Dingus if you are interested in helping.

Have you outgrown your Dinkles marching band shoes from last year?  Are you graduating and don't feel the need to hang on to them any longer?  Do you just want to retire yours so you can buy a shiny new pair?

If so, please consider donating your gently used Dinkles to the marching band so that some other student can benefit from them.  You can bring them to Mr. Galway or contact the band VP of Logistics for more information.
